Players born in 2001 or later are classified as Mites. Mite teams are determined using a draft in late August and early September. Teams will begin practicing in September and the season ends in late February. Games and practices are 50 minutes long but you should plan on having your skater at the rink at least 30 minutes prior to their ice time so they are dressed and ready to go. Mite teams play most of their games in the Adray East league. They may travel occasionally to a tournament or to play an out of town team. Mite are required to wear full hockey equipment. The LCHA provides game jerseys and sox.
Cost of Mite house hockey is $670 for the season
All skaters playing in the LCHA are members of USA Hockey. Before you register with LCHA, please register with USA Hockey and either email a copy of your receipt to LCHA at lapeerhockey@live.com or attach a copy to your LCHA registration form.
